When TMI was looking at what products to introduce, they asked around and scoured social media to see what activities folks were getting into and they noticed something. More and more families were enjoying the outdoors in 4x4 vehicles both new and old. When asking some of the local custom builders they reported that a fair amount of off-road style vehicle were being built as well, with some models being more popular than others. TMI noticed that vintage Ford Broncos were being built with some regularity so they decided to expand their product line to reflect that increase.

The most popular era just happened to be the 1966-1977 1st generation Bronco, and while TMI already had some products available, they decided to give the spunky little SUV the full treatment. The Bronco had always been popular with off-road enthusiasts and fans of a rugged chassis since its debut. Recent folks who were either restoring them to OEM specs or doing a full custom were finding that that the interior choices were slim. TMI recognized that and decided to give the Bronco its due.

The Ford Bronco was released in 1966 and was an instant success among those whose hobbies or livelihood required they be off the beaten path. The Bronco paired its lightweight body with a rugged chassis that came standard with four-wheel drive, a heavy-duty suspension, and a gutsy engine to get just about anywhere. What it didn’t have was a real sense of style. The interior was very minimal to start with, and surviving examples today have not been cared for very well, resulting in a mostly trashed interior. TMI wanted the 1966-1977 Bronco to look better than when it rolled out of the factory so a full interior kit was developed to make the spunky SUV look its best. TMI developed door panels, quarter panels, a tailgate panel, carpet kit, floor mats, and a console. Alongside the new products, TMI dropped in a set of Pro-Series Universal front seats and added a 38-inch bench that just fit perfectly between the rear wheel wells.

Being able to expand the entire product line to include a full lineup of options gave builders and restorers alike more options to create the vintage SUV of their dreams. TMI is super proud of their efforts and used insights from employees that were either a fan of the venerable four-wheeler or had one in the recent past. The Bronco is firmly rooted in the hearts and minds of many who were associated with them and now it can live up to its full potential.
