Salvage To Savage Squarebody Build

Squarebody C10’s were just meant to be lifted. Big chunky Super Swamper tires, small 15” wheels, and a row of KC-Hilites are the peanutbutter to the jelly that’s a Squarebody truck. Now most people are lowering them and that’s cool too - but these trucks just look so tough and great lifted into the sky and that’s something we rarely see.

Salvage To Savage did just that with their 1987 Chevrolet K10 build. A big lift, dual shocks at all four corners, huge Super Swampers, and 15” wheels. The truck just looks like a monster truck that you can legally drive on the street or hit a mud bog with. Oh and they installed an LS engine too for good measure after rebuilding all the suspension.

When it came time for an interior, Salvage To Savage gave us a ring. They wanted something modern and upgraded but at the same time would look at home in this Squarebody. What they ended up ordering was our new Pro-Series Deluxe 60” bench stitched up in a standard black vinyl.

This bench seat offers a fold down armrest that has cup holders built in. When flipped up there’s an additional seat but the bottom in the center flips up for additional storage. The seat backs are independent too so you get the comfort of a bucket seat with the convenience of a bench seat.

For door panels they ordered up a set of our Sport Molded Door panels. These panels are molded for a modern look and feature a built-in armrest. To finish off the interior they ordered up our Sport Dash Pad that adds that iconic french seam to the edge for a custom look, right out of the box.

The end result is they have an ‘87 Squarebody Chevy that pays homage to its roots but is completely modern at the same time.
