TMI SEMA 2016

The last few years were recording breaking for TMI Products. We had successfully launched our own manufactured seats, took over the industry with our grommet designs, and launched a complete interior line for trucks. Where do we go from here? For SEMA 2016, we focused on expanding all the momentum we had by launching another seat, the Pro Chicane racing seat, along with more applications. And just for good measure we threw our hat (or seat) into the Jeep market!

The two trucks we brought were true show stoppers. Front and center was our very own 1970 Blazer and a wolf in sheep's clothing 1985 F150. Also in the booth was a slick ‘63 Nova Wagon and right in the middle of the booth was our 2010 Jeep JK.

1970 Chevrolet Blazer

TMI Products was born in Southern California. A trip down PCH, or Pacific Coast Highway, isn’t unusual for us. We wanted a vehicle that could hold a surfboard and feel the ocean air blowing through our hair. This ’70 Blazer is equipped with LS power to ensure plenty of trouble free cruising and air ride suspension to get the stance just right.

On the inside we stitched up Pro-Series seats in a Sport-X pattern in Yellow Vinyl and Grey Suede with black stitching and TMI’s signature black grommets while a matching bench finishes off the rear. We went all out with a center console, door panels, dash pad, and wrapped steering wheel. We also introduced three great products that esthetically finished our Blazer. First we added a fiberglass spoiler under the front bumper, installed a spoiler to cover the upper edge of the windshield, and added those amazing bed rail caps to complete the roadster look.

This Blazer was so hot that Hot Rod magazine had to shoot a full spread on it!

1985 Ford F150

We mentioned earlier that this truck was hiding something. The entire body of an ’85 F150 was dropped onto a Crown Vic chassis complete with front end, engine, and transmission. It has all the toughness of a mid-eighties Ford truck with all the ride and handling of an Interceptor. This truck drives just as nice as it looks now that the rough-riding truck suspension is long gone.

For interior we did another set of Pro-Series Sport X bucket seats but went ahead and developed a waterfall console to fit between them. Molded door panels adorn the doors and a dash pad finished off the complete interior. This truck went on to grace the pages of both Classic Trucks and Truckin as a full feature since they loved it so much!

1963 Chevy II Nova Wagon

More doors for more fun! This ‘63 Nova Wagon was a hit at SEMA 2016. A bright blue and black paint job really set off the little wagon. Given a Pro Touring treatment the wagon was slammed with aggressive wheels to give it the look it needed and the LS under the hood gave it plenty of power.

On the inside we installed a set of our Pro-Series seats in a bright blue color that really popped and made people stop and stick their head inside. The best part is it’s a wagon so it can haul ass around the track, or haul the whole family to the grocery store!

2010 JK Jeep

TMI is going off road! For 2016 we jumped head first and brought out this off road machine! Nothing is more synonymous with off-roading than a Jeep Wrangler, and we wanted to go play in the mud.

Let’s face it, Jeeps are known for their off-road abilities, not their fancy interiors. But after miles of rough country trails, the interiors can start to look a little shabby. We developed a full line of replacement seat covers.

Over the course of a weekend you’re able to take your JK Jeep interior from boring and worn out to high class fun! The Jeep crowd ate it up and loved that they had another great product to customize and really show off their Jeeps with.

Right now TMI Products is at the top of the interior market but we have no plans of stopping! Check us out at SEMA 2017 to see what we have up our sleeves!
